Hot Topics In Infection And Immunity In Children (IIC) – The ESPID-Oxford Course is a residential training course which aims to provide basic information and updates in key areas of paediatric infection.

The course is targeted at paediatric infectious disease PID trainees and trainers, and all those who manage children with infections, covering topics in Paediatric infection including SAS, LED & Consultant doctors. 

Delegates come from all over the world there is usually a 50/50 mix of trainees/consultants.

All are encouraged to participate in the interactive sessions to provide their knowledge and comments about the topics under review. All sessions are plenary and include a mix of lectures, case rounds, debate & intriducing the annual IIC Quiz.

IIC 2026 will be the 23rd edition of the course. All lectures will take place in the Bernard Sunley Building, St Catherine's College, Manor Road, Oxford, OX1 3UJ

The IIC Organising Committee recommend physical attendance of IIC 2026 if at all possible. Virtual participation will be an option for those unable to travel to Oxford.
